H.H. Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Nehyan (Chairman)
H.H. Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Nehyan graduated from the Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in the United Kingdom. He completed his advanced training at the United States Naval Training Command in San Diego, California. He then completed the Staff Course and most recently the Command Course at the United States Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. He is presently a Captain in the UAE Navy and Deputy Chief of Naval Operations UAE.
Dr. Abdulkarim Alzarouni
Dr. Abdulkarim Alzarouni is the Deputy General Manager & Chief Audit & Compliance Officer for the National Bank of Abu Dhabi. Prior to his current position he was the Director of Companies & Financial Studies Dept. for the Department of Finance, Abu Dhabi. He has a PhD from Griffith University, Australia and a Master of Science in Accounting from University of Colorado. He is a CPA & CMA from the US and he is a member of various recognized professional institutes.
Mr. Omar Al Katheeri
Mr. Omar Al Katheeri is the Chief Corporate Support Services Officer, Technology Development Committee. Prior to his current position, he was Executive Director, General Secretariat, Executive Council. He has an Masters of Business Administration from University of Oxford, UK, a BA, English and Mathematics and is currently Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
Mr. Hareb Al Darmaki
Hareb is the executive director of private equity at ADIA and is responsible for global private equity and external Europe portfolio management, asset allocation, strategic decisions and broad financial analysis.
Hareb received a BS in Economics and Politics from Bristol University UK in 1974 and also obtained an MA in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University USA in 1976.
Mr. Mishal Kanoo
Mishal Kanoo started his professional experience with Arthur Anderson in Dubai as an auditor before taking up his current position in 1997. He is Deputy Chairman of the Kanoo Group, one of the largest independent, family owned, group of companies in the Gulf region. He is a columnist in Gulf Business, Arabian Business, 7 Days and SME magazines. He is a visiting lecturer at the American University of Sharjah.Mishal Kanoo has been educated in Dubai Modern International School, and holds both a BA in Economics & Business Administration and an MBA in finance from the Univesity of St Thomas in Texas. He also has an EMBA from the American University of Sharjah.
Mr. Frank Heimburger
Chief Sales & Distribution Officer for AXA Insurance Gulf since 1st of January 2016. Prior to that, led AXA operations in the UAE as Country Manager since 2013 and was responsible for executing and managing sales strategy across multiple distribution channels for commercial and retail insurance products.
Joined AXA Group in 1997 as the Head of Distribution of AXA in France. In his previous role, Franck was responsible for driving the Global Strategy for AXA Savings and Protection, Business development, Product and IT strategy and was also in charge of the salaried workforce of more than 2,000 employees.
An expert in insurances practices: his ample experience has been derived from his previous roles in AXA’s sales and distribution divisions. He was also the Regional Sales Director for the South East Region of France, responsible for over 300 tied agents and a salaried sales force of around 400 employees. Frank Heimburger is a graduate from the Université Paul Cézanne (Aix-Marseille III).
Mr. Bader Jeiroudi
Mr. Bader Jeiroudi graduated from Long Beach State University, California with a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Financial Management.He attained his Brokerage license in 1988 and has since held a number of senior positions in the US and UAE. Mr. Jeiroudi is currently the Managing Director of Sultan International Holding LLC, during which time he has incorporated and managed several other companies, namely, Al-Makamin Commercial Projects LLC and Martrade Sultan Logistics LLC (Germany), for which he is currently acting Chairman. Sultan International Holding LLC has also been a long time member in good standing of TRACE (Transparent Agents and Contracting Entities) an international organization setting the highest standard internationally for agents who choose to commit voluntarily, publicly and decisively to ethical business practices. In addition, he is on the Board of Directors for a number of other UAE and international companies.
Mr. Cedric Charpentier
Director, Non-Executive, Independent
Mr. Cedric Charpentier started his career at Allianz in London and joined AXA Group in 1997 where he’s held several positions in the Cargo Underwriting practice. In 2007 he became Chief Underwriting Officer at AXA Corporate solution (Paris) and was acting as Worldwide Head of Cargo line of business.
Since 2011 he’s Chief Sales and Distribution Officer and member of Executive Committee at AXA Gulf and is responsible for AXA operations in UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar.
He is a graduate from NEOMA Business School and Specialized in Market Finance.
During 2016, Mr. Cedric Charpentier was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the AXA Gulf in replacement of Mr. Jerome Droesch.
The Company opened the nominations to the membership of Board of Directors and there were no female candidates, therefore there is no female representation in the Board of Directors as of today.
Mr. Hassen Bennour
Mr. Hassen Bennour has a wealth of experience of over 15 years in the insurance and investment management industries; he started his career with AXA Group in 2005. He joined AXA Gulf in 2007 where he delivered the full-fledged 1st insurance digital sales in the GCC and went on to become the Head of Strategy and Corporate Development, where he developed and executed AXA’s organic and external growth strategy in the Middle East.
Prior to that he was a Change Manager at AXA Investment Manager (Paris), leading Change Management and continuous Process improvement for Alternative Investments and Trading Activities.
Mr. Hassen Bennour holds an Engineering Degree in Computer Science and Financial Markets from ENSIIE (Paris) and is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

The commencement of Green Crescent’s partnership with AXA and Kanoo Group was first announced in September 2014. Itcame to fruition in December 2015 after the successful completion of the AED 100 million bond conversion and investment transaction on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchenge, which sealed the partnership and led to the renaming of the company to AXA Green Crescent (legally registered as AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company P.J.S.C).
